As Spectra’s Co-Founder & Managing Partner, John Petelik is involved with several facets of the company, including financing, deal sourcing, structuring, and operations. John has a tenured career in real estate, holding positions in the investment and capital markets groups for industry leading student housing and senior housing real estate firms, including Invesque (TSX:IVQ). During his time in these various roles, John was instrumental in the design and acquisition of more than $1.5 billion of real estate. 

In addition, John held a position as Vice President of Operations for Monument, LLC, a boutique development company, from 2011 to 2014. While at Monument, he led the financing, design, and development for more than $100 million of new housing communities.  

John earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana University and his MBA from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
